AMD의 비배품 CPU 「TWKR」, 6.6Ghz 오버를 기록.

 오버클럭 이벤트 "TWKR 오버클럭 대회"가 지난 4일 (土)에 시작. OVERCLOCK WORK점내의 특설공간에서 엑체질소를 이용한 오버클럭 시연회가 열렸습니다.

 이벤트는 "Phenom II X4 42 Black Edition TWKR"(이하 TWKR)라 불리는 AMD의 비매품 CPU를 사용하여 2개의 질소냉각 데모 PC에서 준비를 시작. 1개의 CPU는 극한까지 오버클럭을 시도하고, 나머지 하나는 6Ghz에서 3dmark의 완주를 목표로 하였습니다.

 

 

 

 전세계 100개, 일본에 6개 존재하는 희소 cpu 「Phenom II X4 42 Black Edition TWKR」(정격 2Ghz)

 

 

 "TWKR"는 정격 2Ghz의 CPU이며 전세계에 100개, 일본에 6개만 풀린 희귀 CPU. 이번 시연회에 2개및 별도로 2개의 TWKR이 본 매장에 전시되어 있었기때문에 일본에있는 TWKR의 절반이상이 OVERCLOCK WORK점내에 있는 아키바 특유의 밀집도를 자랑하는 이벤트가 되었습니다.

 

 

 

6.6Ghz를 기록한 데모

 

 

ASUS "M4A79T DELUXE"를 사용하는 PC에서 수회 도전끝에 6.612Ghz를 기록하긴 하였으나, 달성직후 시스템넉다운. 실사용은 절대 불가능하지만, 2Ghz에서 6.612Ghz로 약 3.3배 오버를 달성했다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6.0Ghz오버로 벤치를 완주한 데모

 

 

MSI "790FX - GD70"을 사용하는 컴퓨터에서는 6Ghz에서 3dmark를 완주. 3dmark점수는 31896을 기록. VGA는 "Radeon HD4890"의 트리플 CrossFireX구성.

 

 

 

 

 

일본AMD주식회사의 마케팅본부 土居 憲太郎씨가 직접 회장에 와서 오버클럭을 시연하였으며, 시설만 갖춰져있다면 액체헬륨 냉각의 오버클럭도 시연해보고 싶다는 뜻을 밝혔습니다만.. 엑체헬륨은 기화가 심하기때문에 점포내의 설비로는 시도해볼수 없었습니다. 날씨나 CPU간의 오버율 차이등 몇몇 변수가 있겠지만 이번의 기록이 사실상의 TWKR 오버클럭 한계로 생각해도 좋을듯 합니다.

 

 

 그리고, 같은날 개최되어 22일까지 진행되는 "Code 오버대회"에서는, 시중의 955BE로 오버클럭에 도전하여 그 결과를 CoDE에 등록하고, 등록한 모든 사용자중 추첨을 통해 1명에게 "TWKR"이 선물됩니다. 또한 우승자에게는 DDR3의 OC용 메모리 "FireStix Infreno" 및 AM3 지원 메인보드 세트가 증정됩니다. 비매품의 희귀 CPU "TWKR"을 입수할 수 있는 몇 안되는 기회이므로 관심있으신분은 등록을 놓치지 마시길..

VGA안정성 테스트 도구의 하나인 Furmark가 1.70으로 업데이트되었습니다.

스위스의 쿨링솔류션 제조사 아틱쿨링은 오늘, 프리미엄 서멀컴파운드 MX-3(4g)을 공개했습니다. 뛰어난 열전도성과 비경화성으로인해 매니아들에게는 최고의 제품중의 하나가 될것입니다.

 

명작 MX-2의 업그레이드판으로써, MX-3의 성능은 다른 유명컴파운드들에비해 명백히 우세합니다.
MX-3은 뛰어난 열전도성을 가지는(8.2W/mK) 카본입자들을 사용하였습니다. 이로인해 CPU나 GPU의 열을 빠르게 퍼뜨릴수 있게 되는거죠..

서멀테이크는 면적 241*125*63mm 738g의 새로운 VGA쿨러 ISGC V320를 공개하였습니다.

"80+ 인증파워"란 무엇일까?

 "80+ 인증파워"란 무엇일까?

 

 PC의 전원 공급장치는(이후 PSU), 굳이 말씀드릴것도 없이.. CPU, MB, VGA, HDD등의 내부 주변장치에 전원을 공급하는장치입니다. 일본의 가정용 콘센트는 교류(AC) 100V가 공급되고 있지만(한국은 220V교류), PC부품은 직류(DC) 3.3/5/12V를 사용하고 있기때문에, PSU는 전류를 교류에서 직류로 변환하며, 전압을 조정하는 역할을 맡고 있습니다.

 

 

 PC의 사용젼력량이 변화함에 대응하여, 일정수준의 전압을 유지시켜주는것이 PSU의 주임무라 할수있습니다.

전압을 일정수준으로 유지시킬수있는 최대한의 출력이 PSU의 스펙인 셈이지요. 즉, PSU는 사용할 부품의 총 전력량을 고려하여 선택해야 하는것입니다.

 

 

 PSU의 스펙에서 주시해야할 부분은 총 출력 젼력및 3.3/5/12V라인의 출력전류이지만, 최근에는 이 이외 "80PLUS"라는 키워드가 부상하고 있습니다. 80PLUS는 80PLUS프로그램(http://www.80plus.org)이 추진하는 전자기기의 저전력화 프로그램으로써, 요약하면 "교류에서 직류로 변환하는 변환 효율이 80% 이상" 인것을 의미합니다.

 

 

 교류/직류 변환 회로는 코일과 콘덴서등의 부품으로 구성되며, 당연히 이들은 전력을 소비하기때문에 변환효율은 일반적인 PSU라면 70%선 정도가 평균치입니다. 즉, PSU를 제외한 컴퓨터 부품이 100W의 전력을 소모하는경우, 실제 소비전력은 약 143W가 되는 셈입니다. (부품100W + PSU소비전력 43W). PSU가 소비하는 전력은 모두 열로 변환되기때문에, PSU가 구경 12cm등의 대형팬을 탑재하는것은 이 열을 발산시키기 위함이지요.

 

 

 

 

 방금 예로 든 PC부품의 총 젼력소비 100W라는 수치는.. 자작PC 사용자들에게는 어림없는 수치로..쿼드코어 CPU와 하이엔드 VGA등을 구성하는경우 300W이상을 소비하는경우도 당연한 일입니다. 이런경우 변환효율 70%라면 PSU는 100W이상의 열을 방출하게 됩니다. PSU의 발열이 얼마나 큰지 짐작이 가시겠지요..

 전력 절감뿐만 아니라 저소음 구현에도 유리

 

 

 

 80+ 인증 제품은. 이름에서 보이는바와같이 변환효율 80%이상을 실현한 제품입니다. 무시할수 없는 수준에 달한 PSU의 소비전력을 어느정도 억제하는데 성공한 제품이라고 이해하시면 좋을것입니다. 일반적인 PSU의 변환효율을 70%라 할때, 이를 80+인증의 최소기준인 80%로 바꾼다면 손실분은 30%에서 20%로, 즉 PSU의 소비전력을 1/3이나 감소시킬수 있게 되는것입니다.

 

 

 

 조금전의 부품소비전력 100W의 경우, PSU에의한 손실분이 43W에서 25W로, 18W의 전력이 절감되는것이지요.

소비전력이 절감되는경우 전기요금을 절약할수있고 발열도 줄어들게됩니다. 전기요금을 줄이고 싶은사람뿐만 아니라 저소음을 지향하시는분들께도 어필할수 있다는것이지요.

 

 

현재 80+는 다음과 같은 4단계의 계급으로 이루어져있습니다.

 

 

 

변환 효율과 80PLUS 인증 계급 관계 

 

 

 

 PSU에 사용되는 소자의 특성상 변환효율이 가장 높은, 로드45~70%이외의 구간에도 변환효율 80%이상을 요구한다는것은.. 상당히 엄격한 기준이라는것을 보여줍니다. 덧붙여서 80+ GOLD를 취득하는것은 매우 어려운데다가 현재는 일반 소비자용 제품은 존재하지 않습니다. 그러나 80+ GOLD인증을 받은 제품이 있기는 합니다.(http://ascii.jp/elem/000/000/424/424640/ 참조)

 높은등급의 인증을 받기위해서는 제조비용도 상승하기때문에 그만큼 가격도 뛰어오르게됩니다. 따라서 가격에 민감한경우는 standrad, 효율중시의경우 bronze, 자금에 다소 여유가있다면 Silver까지가 가시권이라 할수있겠습니다.

 본점에서 잘 팔리는 제품은  ENERMAX "ECO 80 + 시리즈" 입니다. 인정받는 PSU제조업체 ENERMAX의 제품이면서 가격이 비싸지않은점과 리뷰등을 참고해 구입하러 왔다는 고객이 많습니다. 솔직히.. 절대로 권장해드리진 않습니다만 350W모델 "EES350AWT"조차 500W환경에서 작동했다는 이야기도 들었습니다. 잠재력이 뛰어난것 같습니다.

라인업도.. 저출력 모델부터 폭넓게 준비되어있기때문에, 미들레인지급 PC를 구성하실분께 최적이 아닐지?

Antec의 650W가 비교적 잘 팔리고있습니다. 또 Abee제의 PC케이스를 사용하시는분들은 통일감에서 Abee제 PSU를 맞춰 구입하시는분들도 계시구요.. 추천모델은 ENERMAX제 625WPSU "EMD625AWT"입니다.  모듈러방식인데다 80+ Bronze 모델이므로 효율면에서도 추천할만하지요.

 저희 매장에는 딱히 80+를 찾으시는 손님은 많지 않은편입니다. 역시 가격및 출력이 중시되고있지요. 전원 변환효율등의 설명을 드리면 80+제품을 구입하시곤 합니다. Corsair의 650W급 이상의 PSU가 잘팔리고 있고.. 추천모델은 판매량 1위의 Corsair "CMPSU - 650TXJP"입니다. 아주 호평인것으로 알고있습니다. 판매량이 1위라는것은 그만큼 많은 지지를 받고있다는것이라고 생각하기에 권해드리고싶군요.

 잘 팔리는제품은.. 사용중인 PC의 리프레쉬 수요로 생각되는 350~450W류 5~6천엔대의 것들과, 550W이상 1만엔정도의 가성비가 뛰어난 제품들입니다. 80+에 대해 신경쓰시는분들은 거의 계시지 않아요..

 

 매장에 오셔서 고민하시다가 80+제품을 사가시는분들은 계셔도.. 처음부터 찾으시는분들은 적습니다.

추천모델은 OCZ의 550W PSU "OCZ550FTY"입니다. 왠만한 구성으로는 550W만으로도 충분한데다가 실판매가 1만엔 이하로 구입에 부담이 적은점도 포인트입니다. 물론 80+인증이라 변환효율이 이전의 제품에 비할바 아닙니다.

 본점에서는 게임관련 장치의 취급이 많은터라, 직원들도 게임매니아가 많습니다. 그런 직원들 사이에서도 몇명이 사용하고 있는것이 XIGMATEK "NPP - MC751 NoRulesPowerMC 750W"입니다. 4레인의 +12V출력회로를 갖춘 80+인증 제품으로 750W라는 출력에도 불구하고 판매가격이 15800엔으로 저렴한것이 포인트입니다. 바로 이 제품을 찾으시는분이 많은것은 아닙니다만, "어느 제품이 좋습니까?' 라고 여쭈어보시면 이 제품을 권해드리고 있습니다.

 잘팔리는 제품이라시면... 단연 현인지향 "KRPW - V560W"입니다. Enhance제를 채용한 제품으로, 미들레인지 클래그 VGA를 사용하는경우 충분한 사양입니다. 그리고 무엇보다 가격이 저렴한것이 매력이지요. 본 매장의 BTO도 사용하고있는 제품으로 가격/성능 모두 추천합니다. 반면 하이엔드 게임PC용 등에는 Antec "EA - 650"을 권장하고있습니다.

 PSU를 구입하시는분들중 80+를 고려하시는분등른 거의 계시지않아요.. 가격이나 와트수, +12V출력이나 모듈러케이블 적용여부드잉 판단 기준이 되어있는것 같습니다. Corsair의 650W급 이상PSU나 Seasonic, ENERMAX제품이 비교적 잘 팔리고 있습니다. 가격으로치면 1만엔 이하의것들과, 12000~13000엔대의 것들이구요...

 

추천모델은 Corsair제 750W PSU "CMPSU - 750TX"입니다. +12V가 60A로 강력한것이 특징입니다.

 

 

 

 

도스파라 본점

 

 많이 팔린다는점에서는.. 완소 EVERGREEN "EG - 400PG"와 "EG - 500PG"입니다. 미들스펙이지만 가격이 저렴하여 초보자분들을 중심으로 인기입니다. 역시 1만엔 이상의 제품은 초보자분들께는 권해드리기 곤란하니까요... 하이 엔드 비디오 카드를 사용하시지 않는 경우에 권장해드리고 있습니다.

 본점 추천제품인 ENERMAX의「INFINITI-JC」가 많이 팔리고 있습니다. 가격은 확실히 비싸지만 성능에는 이견없음.
